In this BONUS segment, Dr. Giovanni Mauri answers questions directly from patients in the Save Your Thyroid FB community. Today’s guest is Dr. Giovanni Mauri, an Interventional Radiologist at the European Institute of Oncology, where his practice is dedicated to minimally invasive treatments in oncologic patients. He is Board Certified in Radiology and an active member of the European society of interventional radiology. In 2018 he founded the Minimally-Invasive Treatment of the Thyroid (MITT) group, and in 2021, he lead the European group of authors in writing the European guidelines for thermal ablation in patients with thyroid tumors. Dr. Mauri will be the local host for an upcoming course on thyroid thermal ablation, taking place at the European Institute of Oncology in October 2023, which is the first European course on this topic.
